The Taipei Airport (TPE) is really nice. It’s as great a spot for a layover because it has a ton of easily accessible Priority Pass lounges that offer great value. The city of Taipei is also easily accessible via public transport from the airport, which makes it a great city to visit on a layover.
On our trip through Taipei in April of 2024, we tried out a few of the Priority Pass Lounges in Terminal 2, and would like to share our experience with you all!

Taipei Airport Priority Pass Lounges
We went to both the Oriental Club Lounge, as well as the Plaza Premium Lounge during our layover in Taipei. Because I have the Capital One Venture X Card, I get unlimited Priority Pass visits – I highly recommend this card! See Our Favorite Travel Credit Cards post for more.
💡If you want the short answer, we prefer the Plaza Premium Lounge, as it’s a bit more spacious, less-crowded, with better food and drink. The two lounges are about a 3 minute walk apart, so if you don’t like one, you can easily leave and head to the other.

Oriental Club Lounge
Here are the pros and cons of the Oriental Club.
Pros:
- Great showers. Make sure you ask someone if you can take a shower right when you enter, as you might have to wait a bit. They give you a 30 minute window to take a shower. The bathroom/shower you get is great here. Very clean with a ton of amenities. (Towels/soap/everything else provided)
- Made to order food. You can order food that’s made right in front of you here. (Beef Noodles, etc.) There can be a long-line during peak hours though.
- Great Service. The staff are very nice here.
Cons:
- Very Crowded. This lounge fills up very quickly, and there were a lot of people walking around in here, even at 6 AM.

Plaza Premium Lounge
Pros:
- Tons of space. Our favorite thing about this lounge was how spacious it is. There’s ton of space to sit and relax here.
- Great food. There’s tons of food options here. You can order food at the Chef’s station or you can get some of the pre-made food.
- Showers
- Less Crowded than the Oriental Lounge
Cons:
- None. There really were no downsides to this lounge. Everything was great, and they offer pretty much anything you might need.

Summary – Taipei Airport Priority Pass Lounges
We recommend the Plaza Premium Lounge over the Oriental Lounge. To us, it seemed like the Oriental Lounge got more crowded and offered a bit less than the Plaza Premium Lounge. In our opinion, the Plaza Premium Lounge offered everything the Oriental Lounge did with less of the crowds.
